About Toby Southan
After having built dozens of cars, Toby wanted to explore the possibilities of metalshaping in the metarial he had fallen in love with in the car business: aluminium. Weather resistant and, with the right skillset and the patience of a monk, it can be shapen into anything you can think of.
"As a former Coachbuilder that has worked on the worlds most prestigious cars, moving into Artwork felt like a natural progression".
"I started off working with my dad who had his own coach building business building and restoring classic cars, Bentleys, Jaguars and Aston Martins to name a few. I got contacted one day to do some film work for Apple TV, which sparked a bit more “umph” to stray away from cars.
I ultimately opened my own business, made an art piece… the Hyper Duck. When it sold to America almost instantly, I got a lot more enjoyment creating designs from my head to my hands. I’ve gone on to having pieces in galleries across the UK and artwork sold over the world. Now I am thrilled to be working with Arthur and the team at Colombo and Atelier UGO to create bigger pieces and, more importantly, get them shown and available to all the right people."
